ENTRY INFORMATION
APPLICATION PROCESS
Tournament Registration for all Qualifier, Select and Boys Classic divisions is open. All entry applications must be completed on-line in Sign Up To Play. Log on to STP, create your account and follow the STP Registration Instructions.
TWO WAYS TO PAY
1. BY PAYPAL - CREDIT CARD OR CHECK. After entering your data in the STP program, you can pay on-line through Paypal. Using Paypal you can pay by credit card or check. Follow directions on the Paypal site to use this option. If you pay on-line, please indicate the USAV CODE for the team or teams you are paying for in the "comments" section. You do NOT need to print the entry application form or mail it to us with on-line payment. Your Date of Receipt will be the date and time stamp issued by Paypal; you do not need to send the STP form by mail.

2. BY CHECK. Print an Entry Application Form from the STP web page, sign the form and mail it to us with your entry fee (the STP program will show you how much you owe). Your Date of Receipt will be the time we receive both your check AND STP entry form in our office.

ONE CHECK PER CLUB, please. We do NOT want separate checks for each team.
When we have your on-line payment OR your SIGNED Entry Application form and check PLUS your accepted hotel reservations contract at an approved hotel, we'll email you a confirmation that your application is complete. We will make every attempt to notify you within two business days after receiving the information ande documents noted above.
To receive notices from us, you MUST have a working email address in the STP program at all times. If you change your email address, you must edit that information in your own account - we cannot update or change it for you.
STAY AND PLAY POLICY
Acceptance into any Crossroads tournament requires confirmed reservations at an approved hotel made through our housing agent, THS. We call this the Stay and Play Policy
We adopted Stay and Play to:

Prove hotel nights generated by Crossroads to the city of Denver and maintain our place and space on the convention center calendar. Rooms used at hotels outside our list of approved hotels are not recognized by the city as being generated by Crossroads. As competition for convention center space becomes more and more fierce, we cannot stay on the schedule for the amount of space and the time frame we need without showing more hotel room nights.
- Get the hotels to keep a check on their rates and to offer MORE rooms in properties teams want to use.
We insist on LOWER RATES than hotels would otherwise offer. If a hotel quote is too high, we reject the offer. This helps everyone in the long run, not just one team or one club.
Many people think that booking rooms around the block decreases the price they pay for the rooms. The opposite is actually true - the hotels offer fewer rooms at higher prices if we don't use our leverage. There is no doubt rates at ALL the Denver metro area hotels would be significantly higher if we did not use our leverage to keep the current prices and future price increases reasonable - when one raises prices the others follow suite.
Since adopting the Stay and Play policy, almost all the hotels lowered their original quotes (by as much as 30%) and offered us more rooms, or joined the block when they hadn't before.
Compare rates at major hotels in other cities the size of Denver to those in Denver. Call our approved hotels and try to book a group of rooms for the dates of the tournament without mentioning Crossroads or the group rate and see what you would pay.
If you get quoted a lower rate than we are offering, call us - we'll get that rate for everyone!
ENTRY FEES
The entry fee is $765 per team for Qualifier divisions, $665 for Select divisions and $350 for the Boys Classic - no increase in the past four years!!
ACCEPTANCE INTO CROSSROADS
Acceptance for all divisions is first-come, first-served determined by both the Date of Receipt, which is the time we receive your check and STP entry form in our office or the time of payment in Paypal, PLUS notice of confirmed hotel reservations at an approved hotel made through our housing agent, THS. We will accept teams until available space is filled or February 1, 2010, whichever comes first. After February 1, teams may be accepted into the Qualifier or the Select divisions at the discretion of the tournament director. Only two teams will be accepted per club per division prior to February 1st. After February 1st, teams will be accepted at the discretion of the tournament director.
PLEASE NOTE: Having pre-purchased airline tickets or unconfirmed hotel contracts are not criteria for acceptance into the tournament. We strongly advise you to refrain from making non-refundable commitments for air travel until you know you are accepted.
REFUND POLICY
All withdrawals from the event MUST be submitted by email by the person listed as the "Team Contact" in STP. The time stamp on email will serve as the official time of withdrawal.
- GENERAL RULE. There are no refunds of entry fees once a team registers for Crossroads and submits payment except for the following two circumstances:
- EXCEPTION ONE. If Crossroads denies a team entry because the field is filled, the team may cancel its application and receive a full refund of its entry fee (minus any Paypal fee), OR may go on a waiting list.
- EXCEPTION TWO . If Crossroads officially places a team on a waiting list, the team may drop out and obtain a full refund of its entry fee (minus any Paypal fee) anytime before Crossroads accepts the team into the tournament from the waiting list. Once Crossroads accepts the team into the tournament from the waiting list, the team will not receive a refund if it then drops out.
Entry fees are NOT transferable from one team to another, even from the same club.
ENTRY ACCEPTANCE DISPLAY
If you are wondering if your team is accepted into Crossroads, log on to your Sign Up To Play account, and click on "ENTER EVENTS." There you will see your teams listed for either Colorado Crossroads or Crossroads Select Tournament, with three columns beside each team - DIV., PAID, and ACCEPTED.
This will tell you what division you are entered into and whether you are "Paid and Accepted." If you are Paid and Accepted, you are good to go!
