LOCATION
All matches are played at the Denver Convention Center at 700 14th Street in Denver, CO
NO COOLERS ALLOWED
NO COOLERS of any kind, of any size, or for any reason are permitted in the Denver Convention Complex. Coolers left inside the building will be removed to the outside of the building. Coolers left outside the building are the sole responsibility of the owner, but may be confiscated if security deems them a hazard. Neither Front Range or the facility will assume any responsibility for coolers or providing a place for them.
No outside food can be brought into the Convention Center building, not even into the lobby. This is a Convention Center rule that we must enforce as a condition of our contract; it is not our rule. We understand people don't like this, and neither do we. But we are bound by the terms of the contract and cannot negotiate this away. We apologize for any inconvenience it causes.
NO LARGE BAGS, BALLOONS, CHAIRS OR OUTSIDE FOOD ALLOWED
In this post 9/11 world, major facilities reserve the right to restrict any items being brought into the building that they consider to be a problem. We DO provide seating for spectators at each court.
Teams will be penalized if supporters hassle the security staff about these rules. Please abide by the rules and let the tournament be enjoyable for everyone.
ATHLETIC TRAINERS
Global Event Medicine® provides medical coverage for Crossroads, with both medical doctors and athletic trainers on duty during the hours the tournament operates. They are located under the big red tent near the Tournament Desk.
PLAY TIMES
WEEK 1 - c ompetition begins at 8 am on Saturday, February 27, 2010.
WEEK 2 - competition begins at 8 am on Saturday March 6, 2010.
The tournaments run in waves. The morning wave begins at 8 am; the afternoon wave begins at 3:00 pm. We will post exact starting times for age groups 48-72 hours before the start of competition. All teams should be prepared to play at 8 am on Day 1 of their weekend.
Final matches on most courts are scheduled for 2:00 pm. BE AWARE, however, that many courts run late on the 3rd Day, and there are severe penalties if you forfeit a match in a Gold Medal round of a Qualifier. (See the Qualifier Manual for particulars.)
Playing times for 2nd and 3rd days will depend on how the team finishes the day before. DO NOT assume you play in the same wave on the second day as you did on first.

TEAM CHECK-IN
Team check in for Crossroads will be on Friday, February 26 for Week 1 and Friday, March 5 for Week 2. Check in times are from 4 pm to 9 pm at the Colorado Convention Center at 14th and Welton St. Enter through the 14th Street lobby (by California and 14th Street corner). Check in is in the A Atrium Lobby.
CHECK IN PROCEDURES FOR ALL DIVISIONS
- All teams MUST check in before practicing or playing.
- Each team must have a printed Check In Form with an STP barcode. If your form does not have a barcode in the top right corner, you have not printed the correct form. You cannot check-in using a form without the STP bar code.
- Fill out all the Verification information at the bottom of the page.
- For Qualifier divisions, each person on the roster must have a valid USAV number entered in signuptoplay.com, all coaches must have IMPACT certification, and your roster must be complete and correct before you print it. We will not accept any hand written changes on the Check In Form. If you do not have the proper form when you get to Denver, you will have to find a computer and a printer and print the correct form.
- Fill in the hotel and contact information requested at the bottom of the page. It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that you fill this section in so we can reach you in case of an emergency or a radical change in the tournament.
- Sign the form. The person who is checking the team in must have this form.
To Add a New Player at Check In:
You must find a computer and a printer somewhere (we will not have a computer or a printer or a fax machine available for general use) and correct and print your Check In Form BEFORE checking in. We will NOT ACCEPT any handwritten changes to any Check In Form for any reason.
Submitting False or Incorrect Information
Please NOTE: There could be severe penalties from USAV for submitting incomplete or incorrect information. All players participating must be on the roster. For teams that win a bid, the complete roster is frozen, regardless of whether a listed player actually played in the tournament. (See the Qualifier Manual for complete details of the frozen roster rule.)
LATE CHECK IN
We will have late check in between 7 am and 10 am on Saturday, February 27 for Week 1 and Saturday, March 6 for Week 2 in the A Lobby only.
PRACTICE TIMES
Teams may use one court for one hour on Friday, February 26 or Friday, March 5 between 4 pm to 7:30 pm PROVIDED set up is completed by 3:00 pm on the day before the tournament starts. The cost is $45 if you register and pay on Sign Up To Play before the clinic. If you register at the door, the cost is $75. The clinics can be found under the "Camps & Clinics" section.
